Disney
Friday 27th August

Rob took off early from work and we went out to see Disneyland. Our yearly pass was about to expire and so we had one last chance to see the few things Rob hadn't seen and to do the fun stuff again. The Castle was wrapped in paper and was being renovated for the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland, in 2005. We spent half the day in Disneyland - Rob went up Tarzan's Treehouse. The afternoon was spent in DCA and Rob took a last ride on the Hollywood Tower of Terror, and we enjoyed Soarin' Over California too. We had dinner at the Taste Pilot's Grill. Late in the evening we watched Fantasmic, back in Disneyland.
Sunday 29th August
We spent the day at Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure, and then zoomed back to Torrance for church. We did a number of the "kiddy rides" in Disneyland, including the Storybook Land Canal boats (miniature land of fairytales). We went paddling around Tom Sawyer Island, and then explored it on foot. We watched the "Great Moments with Mr Lincoln", an animatronic story about President Lincoln - we wore headphones which provided surround sound which made it seem like the character was whispering in your ear, or your hair was being cut. We watched the parade one last time.
