On the 5th October we went to Little Saigon, in Orange County (next to LA County) and about 20miles from home, with Hai-Tan (Rob's Aussie Colleague). Little Saigon has heaps of Vietnamese shops, restraunts etc and a lot of Vietnamese live in the area. We visited the memorial to the Vietnam War, which was built with the cooperation of Vietnamese and US service men. It had an excellent bronze statue of two soldiers - one Vietnamese, the other American.

Hai-Tan took us to lunch at a Vegitarian Restraunt. The food was amazing - there were prawn, beef, chicken, fish and other 'meat' dishes where all the 'meat' was made from vegetarian ingredients. Rob could not tell the difference between the prawns we ate and the real thing. The food was really fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxing and personal.
